Where, exactly, does the Old Testament accept the existence of other Gods? It accepts the existence of people who _worship_ other Gods, but I've never read a passage that supported the existence of any other than Jehova/The Lord/Yahweh/Jesus/whoever you want to call him.

Think about this:
God created Man - and then created Woman as an afterthought when man complained about being lonely.
Meaning that procreation is an afterthought - meaning that if Man was created in the image of God, then God is sexless, which makes sense given there would be no reason for it before humanity was created.
Meaning that those who are true believers should not be having sex - eventually, the rest of us will no longer have to listen to all the illogical arguments over the bible.

No, I never knew the term existed.
I suppose all the angels and devils are supernatural beings that could be considered to be gods of some sort.
Of course, if someone were to apply rationality and reality, you would see the whole thing is nonsense.
Religion is just a big scam where people fight about how their imaginary friend is better than other people's imaginary friend.

The definition of the word is that it is a word made up by a man to explain his " criticism of Western theological and religious exceptionalism (relative to Eastern religions), focusing on a cultural dogma which held "monotheism" to be both fundamentally well-defined and inherently superior to differing conceptions of God."
Saying its so doesn't necessarily make it so.

"Hear, O, Israel, the Lord your god! The Lord is ONE, and you shall love him with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might."
This is the sh'ma prayer, and it's found in Deuteronomy 6:4.
That sounds like monotheism to me.
You're going to have a hard time convincing me that the Jews actually preached that other gods existed. You can pick almost any of the books of prophecy, especially Jeremiah, and you'll find men who taught that all the other gods were fake. They were made by men's hands from wood or stone and couldn't talk or take action.
