In the moring and sometimes at night, when I'm walking around I get this headache for like 1 minute, and after the headache my eyes do this thing where I can't see anything. Its just black. And, then while its black I like loose my balance. And, I have no idea what is it! When my eyes go black I'm still aware of what is going on around me. Like last night I was talking to my mom and my eyes did the thing and I was still talking to her. Another time I was making cereal and my eyes did the thing and I was still making the cereal. So, I don't know if something is wrong or if its just because I'm tired. Please help me!!!

I eat right. I'm the right weight for my age and height. But, I'm a vegetarian. Do you think that has somthing to do with it?

Are you eating properly? Are you dieting?

When I was young and trying to lose weight by not eating enough (barely anything), that would happen to me. I would just go blind for a few seconds. It could have something to do with blood pressure.

This is not blacking out. Blacking out is a condition of losing consciousness, not eyesight. You may be suffering from migraine with aura (see link below). Your symptoms are not completely typical, but they would explain what you are experiencing.

There are other things that could be the cause, but no matter what, you should see a doctor about this condition so you can rule out some of the more unpleasant ones. Please go see a doctor soon. This would be really bad if you were driving!

Its not "blacking out" because that requires a loss of consciousness which if your still aware of your surroundings and still functioning during the episode you were not unconscious. This however is not from being tired either and needs to be addressed by a physician ASAP. Tell your mom.

Vegetarians often do not get enough protein. Also, the nervous systems of children who do not get enough of something that is bad in adults (either fat or cholesterol; I forget which) do not develop properly; this is most common in vegetarians.

Your problem sounds like something with your nervous system, but I am not sure what. Aside from the answers given already, another possibility is recurring small strokes.

See a neurologist.

See a doctor, they will probably recommend a specialist. Then I bet a they recommend a MRI and CAT scans. Since you say headache happens first, sounds like pressure pushing on nerves causing problems with your eyes.

Blacking out is different. When you black out you are not aware of your surroundings. (Like being knocked out)

If you actually blacked out, you do not know you are. My mom had black outs for many years. U also can not drive if you have black outs! It sounds like you're dizzy. Have your iron checked!
