Me and my gf are leaving our parents' homes and moving in, im 18 shes 17, we may have a problem with cash flow, i've worked out as much as is forseeable, can anyone think of easy ways to make cash fast?, i dont mean ebay or advertising scams either, were both currently students also and will be continuing our education until complete, im at college studying nc electrical engineering and shes studying general engineering at a lower introduction level.
here are the stats i came up with:
Rent - 400 (Monthly)
electricity - 730 PA (60 monthly)
gas - 45 monthly
phone / broadband - 18.99 (monthly for 18 months)
food - 30 weekly
water - 100 quarterly
council tax - 150 monthly
TV license - 120 PER annum
820 per month. (without benifits)
we are obviosuly going to have to claim some government benifits to keep up with the rent, we are both part timers and earn £4.60 per hour and work max of 16 hours a week.
any suggestions are appreciated :D <3 u, yahoo people!

i work as a cashier at a showcase cinema near to us at the moment, and she works as a stockist / floor person for matalan, i know i should change my job, and i do work as much as i can, but it averages out to just under 16 hours a week for me and roughly the same for her, but i cant keep working from 10.30am until 1am the following day where i have college to head off to 6 hours later.
and they dont even pay extra overtime for either of us, its just normal pay! :@

Are there any bursaries you can claim at your uni.Or are there any engineering companies that can sponser you.?
To earn extra money, you can consider being guinea pigs, not necessary medical but testing new shampoos and the like.
As you both bright, can you tutor kids after school.Lots of parents will pay so their kids can get extra help. There are agencies out there you can apply to.A student taught my daughter piano.
Apart from that,the usual...dog walking,washing cars,odd jobs,cleaning houses
Then theres the bank of mum and dad !!
good luck

I'm 99% certain that as students you would not be eligible for either housing benefit or any DSS benefits, especially if you are both working part time as well (not job seekers and earn too much for income support). The only benefit you would probably get as students is not having to pay council tax.
Assuming you are at college and not 6th form, then your college might have a hardship fund, but even then that's designed more to buy books and equipment with rather than live on, so we're not talking that much money. They may be able to help find cheap accommodation too.
Sorry to put a downer on things but unless you can work a lot more hours then I think you may stuggle to get anywhere near £820 a month. Good luck.

I'm not in the UK but have visited there many times, and 30 pounds a week for food for two of you sounds awfully light. Also, you have nothing in your budget for clothes or transportation, or any school expenses, or for the miscellaneous expenses that will inevitably arise.
Suggestion - maybe you both need to work somewhat more hours a week, or continue to live at home and save up some money before you move out.

well, is that the cheapest place you can get? Well first of all instead of cleaning, you both need to get a job at places like asda, wilkinson, both these places offer reductions to their employees, so that would reduce some of your shopping bills. Sencondly you could always get a study grant which you do have to pay back to the government. However I am sure you will get help with your rent and tax from the council. Why do you need to get a place now? Have you ever thought of renting a room in a shared house, I'm sure it will be a lot cheaper for you both.

We oddly enough met on Yahoo Personal when we were both 17...yup, we lied to go on there since we were both bored. We ended up telling the truth to each other and became good friends...then 2 years later we got involved in relationship. So far we've been together for about a year and our love is only getting stronger with each passing day. ♥_♥

I'll have to agree with Doctor John, it may hurt a little at first but when the money comes in from your girl's activities you'll soon realise it's for the best.
£50 for a hand job, £70 for a BJ and £100 for full sex you'll be laughing.
