As much as we'd be thankful for some country halfway around the world invading ours and liberating us. We shouldn't be there.

probably even though liberals will still make up some reason why it wasn't right even if they turn the whole country around the liberals would never admit they were wrong. They would be against anything the president says anyways, even if he said I can bring world peace liberals would find something wrong with it.
They have that petty vindictive personality, look at the members of he house and congress Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, and Kerry especially. I don't think you can run on emotion and that's what they do, they take everything personally and use insults, which some of the more ignorant people in this country seem to think are facts so they elect these people.
What excuse are they going to make if we help all of these countries now that are protesting because they want democracy? There are a few others that really want a democracy now in their country.

I decrease than no circumstances, ought to or could shield our cutting-edge operations in Iraq. regardless of the undeniable fact that, it form of feels people have misplaced reminiscence, of the atrocities Saddam inflicted on his people. The atrocities he dedicated while he invaded Kuwait, on them. I won't draw any comparisons, yet a minimum of the only worry Iraqi's ought to have, is with different Sects and the terrorists. We no longer less than, did eliminate an extremely vicious Dictator, even regardless of the undeniable fact that interior the top, it wasn't our business enterprise relatively.

It's hard to say how history will paint the picture 50-100 years from now. Perspectives change and soften. Even the $23 million spent on the Louisiana Purchase was called an outrage and unconstitutional (it was a military move against Spain) - and look how that turned out.

probably not. but that doesnt mean that we are not doing the right thing. they have been so brainwashed for so many generations, that the majority of the people really have no idea what is ACTUALLY going on. to be honest, im sure we dont get the full story either. yes there is corruption, and yes some people's motives are questionable, but congress DID agree to go to war, so we cant give bush all the credit. the majority of those elected officials- people WE (or you- i wasnt legal for my states last election) voted into office. it is just as much our responsibility as anyone elses, we from our standpoint and our historical context, we are doing what is best for us AND for the people of iraq. these big stick policies are nothing new for our country, this is just the first (well second including vietnam) time that our media has brough SO much attention and debate to a war like this. and in the past the other nations we have taken it upon ourselves to help may or may not have been thankful, but have almost always been better for it.

Uhhhm, I doubt you've been there but my brother in law spent two years there in the army. Many, if not all, the ones he ran into were/are grateful. So much they would give him hugs (men, women and children alike), they would take pictures with him and they would wave American flags when he drove by or flew over-head. And they ARE liberated. In case you forgot, it is October 23rd, 2007 not 2002.

Not only yes but heck, yes! So will the other people in the Middle East when the spirit of liberty begins to topple the other tyrants in the area. Once true liberty comes to Iraq, Iran, Syria and every other tyranny will be on borrowed time. Hope is contagious.
Too bad the tyrants realize this and so many Americans do not. Why do you think countries like Iran are doing everything they can to thwart the success of democracy in their midst?

If I knock you down
and then help you back up,
and say "oops, by the way,
I accidentally killed some of
your friends and family",
will you be grateful?
If I was an Iraqi, I think it would be in my best interest to
only act as if though I'm grateful -- just to keep from
being detained and tortured -- just for being
suspected of not being grateful. The
wrong facial expression could
possibly be enough to get
locked up at Gitmo
indefinitely.

If they get a steady Government in the end yes, otherwise it's hard to say.
I mean in time if the Government is steady they will likely become close allies.
