before its too late?
they are rapidly building up their military, and have been developing military techniques such as hacking, and sattelite disruption, which is a clear threat to the us.
they are even working on blue-water ships (ships capable of going into pacific ocean territory)
then they held talks with taiwan a week or so ago, and said that they have no intent of letting taiwan become independant, which means that given the document (i cant remember the name) we have with taiwan, we would lend military aid to taiwan.
and consider this: every communist/socialist country that has come along has been our enemies, soviet union, cuba, north korea, vietnam, so you can bet china will follow suit
you think we should nip a problem in the bud to stop it from growing?

I guess you might not be from the UK. I mean, what do you mean by 'our enemies'? Soviet Union never declared war on the USA, neither did Korea - North or South. The USA always said that the non- communists in Vietnam 'invited ' the USA to help them. Cuba was never an enemy of the USA, but the USA was so paranoid about Communism that they turned Cuba into an enemy.
Latest 'enemies' of the US are more nationalistic or religiously oriented than socialist/communist - and none of these countries have declared war on the US.
OK, China is, in principle communist, but they're not about to declare war on the US. Even they know that you don't bite the hand that feeds you - have a look at trade figures.

Think of what your question(s) are. Nearly 90% of products imported by the U.S. are manufactured in China. They dont need a military war to cripple us. Just a bunch of economic sanctions on this country would cripple it. Also your idea of attacking china?! Thats suicide. Even though our technology is better...remember Vietnam, the will and determination of the people always prevail. As well as an military that could be over a billion strong. Nuclear weapons are out of the question. If we nuke them, we arent just destroying them, we are also destroying the ozone layer, wildlife, resources as well as other countries and future generations of people due to genetic defects.

How did we ever get this superior feeling that we are the only ones that have a right to enough weapons to destroy the planet? Who gave us this authority? Have we been on top so long that it is our God given right to invade whoever we want & for whatever reason we use? We want a relationship with the world, but only on our terms? We have the largest & best arsenal in the world, but no other country has that right? Where did we get this idea that we are so superior? This attitude will be our demise. We CANNOT take on the entire planet!

It's worse than you think. It's not their military power I am afraid of, it's their economic power.

But remember. Who is financing China? Who is pouring money into them just to have the latest gadget that will stop working in six months?

You guessed it: Mr and Mrs American Consumer love stuff Made in China. It's soooo cheap after all...

Let's put a halt on that first. I bet the threat will go away by itself.

You say , "if china invaded America" ,

"you people would be the ones to just lay down and let them run over you wouldn't you?",

NO , I can witness that US people will not lay down ,

One may overpower USA , But not The US people ,

But as a country China is a symbol of peace ,

An example for USA to follow.

We are in the fragile state we are in, because we tried to force others to accept our way of doing things, and to accept our beliefs and used force to take control of resources, not only in Iraq but elsewhere. We put our personal and Country principals and ethics aside, those which made our Country great and which American was founded upon. We used fear and military might to do so killing and brutilizing others and stripping our country (and the world) of 500 Billion Dollars and more for war, death and destruction. Are you advocating more of the same???

I dont.

They have had in excess of 5X our population for a VERY VERY long time, and could over run this country due to just sheer NUMBERS... forget superior military hardware. Nothing beats 10 million screaming patriots, when you are fighting an enemy that thinks the worlds thugs should be taken care of by a "police action"...

And After November of next year... just think... you MIGHT just have a president in office that thinks just like the current president's predecessor...

That, my friend, gives me NIGHTMARES...

You can't stop em. They realised that they weren't going spread communism long ago, so they adapted their tactics and beat the US at it's own game - free market capitalism.

By now your economies are so interlinked that there's no way you could survive a war with China - their banks are financing trillions of dollars of your budget deficit... they'll own you soon enough.

But by all means, have your brave, patriotic red american fantasies filled with imminent threats and flags and missles. That's all it is - a fantasy.

I'm with you, those evil, blood sucking, affordable lithium ion battery producing A$$ Holes!!!!

I have already burned everything in my house that was made in China and now I am standing naked in my house with with my cat and on a rug made in Iran. That should slow down those Chinese a little bit.

Doesn't anyone remember what JFK said?

"Ask not what humiliating and stupid things your country can do for you, but what humiliating and stupid things you can do for your country!!!!!"

They are even worse than those sneeky Ruskies with their affordable natural gas as oil reserves which are half the price of the arab oil! I'll burn their flag with their affordable and cost reducing gas so they know now not to mess with us!
