I agree with you. I always want to give the other person room to change their mind and apologize. It is best.

I think to be able to forgive is definitely a good thing...but to forget? I don't necessarily believe that forgetting is a good thing at all. There is usually a lesson to be learned from the experiences we have in life, especially those that might fall into the "forgive and forget" category. That's not to say that one should fixate on the bad, but to remember the lesson in order to avoid similar situations in the future, I think that is key.

I forgive people, but I can't always forget. I always keep things in the back of my mind, to avoid getting hurt again I guess. However, it's a waste of time to spend your life holding grudges.

In the beginning I want to get even but in the end I find a way to forget and sometimes forgive.

It's hard but you are right, life is too short!

A Simple question with profound logical depth.........To be true
I find it to forgive and forget contradictory to my satisfactory level...these terms are not synonymous to my ego...but its the worse that can happen to anyone...if you don't forgive and forget it will rotten your very thinking from inside and force you to be transformed into a beast........The best antidote to this problem is the law of Omerta [silence]...I am referring to silencing the anger prevalent within us coz that whats makes forgetting and forgiving a herculean task

Yes i do, Im am often taken advantage of in this area. Ill give you too examples
-2 saturday nights ago, me and my friend went out and she allways gets too drunk and ends p taking a guy home, and she said she didnt want to tonight, but she did get drunk and when she tried to take a gu home, i tried to stop her, but she went mad at me, and kicked me out of her house (were i was staying for the night) at 3 in the morning, and i just forgave her the next morning, and i went to stay at a mates house, because he had walked us all home and saw what she did, (before u think it i did not sleep with him!!)
-Then last saturday we went out and she ended up hitting me twice in the face because she was drunk and got angry with some members of staff of a club we were in and i told her to calm down!
Both times i just tell her to forget about it, but its not exactly fair is it.
I dont believe in revenge i believe in Karma. What you do to someone will come back on yourself in one way or another, therefore ill leave karma to do its work!! Im so forgiving its riduclous but hey, wat can i do, i dont want to be evil!

I definately try to forgive and forget.

Not forgiving only hurts the person holding the bitterness.

I do forgive and try hard to forget. I figure their crappy actions will catch up with them eventually.

I forgive. I never forget. If you don't learn from your past, you are bound to repeat it.
