I read that they are prone to be aggressive and ornery. What has your experience been. Mine bit me once, but I don't think he was being mean. Other than that he's been really sweet.He's just a babe though. I was wondering if he's going to get nasty as he gets older.

I have heard from breeders who keep them that they are one of the nippier breeds. Male rabbits tend to be sweeter than females. Handle him a lot and good luck.

We raised them for years and had only sweet rabbits. If they're aggressive and ornery now I've not heard of it, tho it's been a number of years since we had them. They're one of my favorite breeds.

I have encountered a lot of nasty ones, but I've also noticed that the kind of breeders who tend to have them don't spend a lot of time handling or 'loving' on them. Makes me wonder how much of it is nature vs. nurture.
