Basically the paperwork for my termination didn't get to the payroll people until too late so I was paid for 2 weeks or work I wasn't there to do. Do I legally have to give the money back? The payroll was a little confusing where I worked so I just figured I'd made a mistake. ( Some places delay your payment 2 weeks, I thought this was the case)

Are you sure it didn't cover accured vacation time or PTO time? They do owe you for any unused vacation and sick days.

first try to know if this half month payment is a end-of-servise payment. if not pay the money back
