I'm not sure what I would've done. The police where I live are so greedy, the ones I turned it over too would've probably pocketed it themselves. I could just see them now laughing at me all the way to the bank!
I probably would just keep it and donate it to some kinda charity or something, so it would at least go towards something worthwhile and beneficial.

Invested it in apple for 1 month and then taken my profit and put an add in the paper asking if anyone lost some dough! on that street, and if so from what county was the currency issued, what dollar amount in denominations,ect. The police get enough money from their cheesy speed traps! and the money would disappear for sure in the governments hands! If no one claims it give it to a charity that helps kids stay off the streets...

I would have turned it all in to the police. I don't keep what isn't mine. Someone probably really needed that money. And if it was ill-gotten(ie from a drug dealer or something), then the police can probably find a good use for it.

I don't need to read the story. I would keep some of the money and donate the rest. "finders, keepers" meets "give something back to the community"
