What I mean is, it seems like every year we lose another right and I know that this is going to continue but when will it finally end? Think about it, once there is a law for everything, then what? I think that one law that would actually make sense is one requiring every new law enacted (and every law already in existance) to face another vote in like 4 or 5 years to see if it still makes sense to have it.

I agree - people have stopped thinking live and let live - they think now why is he/she doing that ? this is unbelievable . how can he do that ? sometimes I think it is just pure jealousy or someone taking plain advantage of another person because they see an opportunity to make money -to me both types of the above people are the scum of the earth

The U.S.??? Don't you mean Virginia???? You should try living under the Commonwealth of Virginia (crooks) when driving here. They've changed all our driving ticket prices so high you'd practically have to sell all you own just to keep them paid. So don't live here and think your freedom to drive safe or otherwise is cheap and enjoyable. Anyone from out of state is safe otherwise it's only to punish the voters and taxpayers of this fine state (which fine state is used loosely).
Yes, I do understand your concern about the country as a whole. There are so many laws that we may never knew existed until you break one without knowing it. I like your idea to have the fine people who vote and pay taxes to give input and check out the laws thoroughly to see if they should continue.

I have not lost any rights yet. Everything I personally want to to I can. As for the phone taps, there is nothing I say that would or could cause concern, in fact if there is something I may have forgotten on my Honey-Do list I would appreciate their breaking in and letting me know before I screw up. Nope I haven't seen any loss of rights, chances are you haven't experienced them either. I believe you think someone has or will someday.

Yes. Here is a fun set of articles about how we institutionally break some laws. Politics so often gets things wrong, but society prevails. (Yes, I am saying that politics are anti-social.)

I think the US is very litigious. We will sue for everything and anything if we think it will bring a fat paycheck. There is little room for common sense today because of our litigious societies.

I feel that way, too. Too much government in the way of frivolous laws, not enough in the way of help to those who truly need it. And of course, way too much effort towards war.
