Well I know that HHH is friends with Lemmy Kilminster of Motorhead in real life so that explains that one.
(Now that's one cool friend!)
Friends with Lemmy, Married To Steph and her nearly perfect --- and big rack....Lucky s.o.b.
LOL
But I digress, sorry. Probably through mutual contacts in the entertainment industry I would say.
Vince might be a morally corrupt piece of pond scum but the Man knows how to network.

it used to be the wrestler would use songs already recorded by musicans in some cases, most were not written for the wrestler to use, it happens more now days

Metal Edge: How did the whole connection with Triple H happen?
LK: Apparently the WWF already had the song, and they were looking for someone to record it. Triple H was a fan of ours, and he said that we were the guys that he wanted... After we recorded his song, they flew us down to the Houston Astrodome to play it at Wrestlemania [last year], and that was a crowd of like 68,000. The funny thing is, after after we played his intro he got beat! Motorhead luck again! We were the first metal band to go on The Tonight Show, and we were probably the only band who's sales ever went down after being on it!

In the WWE and TNA it is the company who initiates it. In the "orginal" ECW wrestlers got alot of input on what song they wanted played. In WWE some guys at the top get to work with their favorite artists, such as Triple H with Motor Head, and John Cena is unique as was pointed outas he does his own. Lil' Kim did Trish Stratus' theme and that was on the advice of Stratus. Often the bands they contact don't even watch wrestling, as was the case for Our Lady Peace who did Chris Benoit's entrance music. When the Chris Benoit incident happened the lead singer blogged about all of this on his myspace. Most however are big wrestling fans such as Disturbed (Stone Cold), P.O.D. (Rey Mysterio) and Saliva (several themes and album tracks). The rest of the themes are put together by WWE sound man Jim Johnston and he does excellent themes. He wrote everything from Undertaker's theme to Shelton Benjamin's to Shawn Michaels and Ted Dibiase. TNA mostly uses generic but recently hired lead singer of former DX Band to write themes for them. Hope this helped.

its the most likely the company over the wrestler that picks the music . and they mostly do most of it in house to save them from paying royalties every time they play it. yes their are exceptions but most of the bands that do themes have done the song for a pay per view . or are personal friends of the wrestlers like hhh and motorhead

I think, in some cases, that if a musician happens to be a big fan of the wrestler that the musician might contact the wrestler first.

I know that in one case, i think it was Edge, the band who did his music before he got injured were actually fans of his and because they're a band and can do these kinds of things went back stage met Edge hung out and became friends, well at least stardom friends. i saw Edge hanging out with them in a backstage clip during Raw one night quite a while ago and that's the best idea i could think of that they obviously found him first. being friends he could ask at any time 'hey um you wanna do my music?' how HHH got Motorhead to do i can't say but do you think next time they actually sing it for him live, do ya think he'll give them a sheet with the words on? They can't remember their own song it drives me nuts!

I would imagine that one of the agents does that type of stuff. Wrestlers I would think would be to busy to worry about that. They have no travel time and it is really rough to find a break.

Cena made his own.

HHH is a big Motorhead fan. So who knows.

They use to have a guy do all of their music but his name is not coming to me right now. I am thinkin Joe Johnston for some reason but I know that is not it.
