I know there are several people around here, such as myself, who have always thought manning was overrated, but cant more people see that now.. i mean in the 05 and 06 seasons Manning was talked about as if he is a god .. now that Brady has the same advantages manning does, i think people are starting to realize that manning is not "The best player ever" (sports illustrated), nor will he "hold every single passing record by the end of his career" (also sports illustrated), nor is he "beyond criticism" (yet again, sports illustrated)

Brutally Honest, you gotta be kidding me! the colts have the easiest schedule imaginable.. Obviously the patriots' is easy to but i mean seriously, other then the Pats, the cotls play noone this year (and they didnt last year either).. And whenever they play their toughest division rival (jax) on the road (which is necessary) they happen to have a bye week right before.. hmmm, things have a way of making it easy for manning doesnt they

I love it, brady was beating manning in games for years when he only had branch. Now that tom has some prolific WRs, he's showing how much better he is than peyton.

Well, did you ever ask why Manning's ratings are lower? I can tell you why! Its the Colts running game! Thats why! Manning isn't passing as much because he no longer has too! Addia is a huge addition to the Colts offense! I consider Brady and Manning equal! Both are competitors. Both have weapons to work with. But the Colts ground game is much better than that of the Patriots! Why pass "ALL THE TIME?" when you can run! I don't believe Peyton really cares too much about statistics. I think his goal is what everyone's goal should be! That goal is winning the superbowl every year! Manning used to always try winning the Game by throwing the football. And that sometimes got him in trouble! So now, the Colts are saying its not "Me" its "We!" as the old saying goes, there is no "I" in "Team!" I think Joseph Addai is establishing himself as one of the best backs in the league! I have to scratch my head when you say the Colts schedule is easy! I mean Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Houston are very tough opponents for the Colts to face every year! How do they compare to the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins? I mean New England may be the only team from that division to get to the playoffs! On the other hand, In the AFC South; you could possibly have 3! So If I where you I would re-anaylize that thought!

I am just curious, if Brady is so good, why was he so crappy in college. He was a 4th rounder, and nothing more. Now I know you think that Harrison, Wayne, and Clark went to Tennessee which is what made Manning so good, but they did not. Manning did not have them in college, yet he was still nominated for the Heisman and was the 1st overall pick. Brady is having one good year. If Brady was pure talent wouldn't it have showed in college. I do think he is a good, perhaps great QB, but Manning has simply been better overtime. You cannot look at one year and relate it to an entire career. I think that they are both great, but I think Manning is a little better. You have to look back at college, because that is where it started. I sure as hell do not think Manning is overrated.

You lost all credibility when you said the Colts have the easiest schedule imaginable. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

Peyton Manning is not overrated. Just because Tom Brady continues to throw touchdown passes, rather than run the clock out, when the game is already out of reach means nothing other than he is padding his stats. The other 3 teams in the Colts division have 11 wins. How many do the other teams in the AFC East have...3?

You clearly need to do a little research on the subject.

This is only a good start of a season, likely a career year.

Brady is only a year younger and still needs like 100 TD and 15000 yards to tie Peyton Manning.

The huge difference is that he set the record because he needed too, with a horrible defense it was the only win to score more points than the other team. That time Edgerrin had a monster year too. Brady is throwing TDs with 2 minutes left instead of running the ball just to keep Moss happy.

Even if he wins a ring this year, he will only tie Montana and Bradshaw.

The patriots are cry babies. They are mad that they got caught cheating and now all their wins must have an asterisk (yes, all three super bowls). The league knows this and shredded the evidence before an investigation could be done.

So do they apologize and promise to stop cheating? No, they run up the score on inferior teams. Is Peyton a better quarterback? Yes. Is Peyton a better person? Yes. He is too classy to run up the score to match the antics of a bunch of spoiled brats? Yes again.

Well until someone breaks his records its all talk. Sure Brady has 27 touch downs in 7 games and is on pace to smash the 49 td season Manning had but you gotta finish it too. Manning is top 5 in just about every career stat for the 1st 150 starts. Hardly anything to consider over rated.

Ehhh, whatever. The Colts have had a harder season thus far than the Patriots, and the Colts are STILL 6-0 for the 3rd season in a row -- something even almighty Brady hasn't accomplished.

And let's not even START on the filth that is Tom Brady's EVERYDAY LIFE.

Zip it up. Not that I'm a huge Colts fan, but get the facts, kid.

I think the AFC south is the tougest conference in the AFC and no, Manning is not overrated. Manning torched some good defenses this season and I havent seen Brady do that. Not to say he isn't great, I just think you are a Manning Hater! Give credit where it is due, the sports world doesn't revolved around New England, P.S. I hope the BoSox lose!

I don't think Manning is overrated at all...he runs a much more complex offense and everything lies on his shoulders...both QB's have steller wide-outs...but every play Peyton has 3 plays, 2 runs and 1 pass...he reads the defense (and he is better than anyone in the game at doing that) and makes a call...Tom has the benefit of having a genious for a head coach who seems to always make the right calls...espessially in the second half...Is Tom better than Peyton? yes, but is Peyton overrated? absolutly not!

Peyton Manning is only better for one reason, he studies every aspect of the game. He studies every defense and figures out plays that will work. If you watch both of them play you will see that Brady goes with what is called more times than audibles which Peyton has made a living off of. They are easily the best QBs out there but I think Peyton is just one step ahead of him. And if you think I'm sayin that because I like the Colts, my favorite team is the Bengals.
