I just washed my bathroom rug on gentle cycle with cold water. I would like to dry it now. Whats the best way to dry it besides hanging it outside? I need it to dry relatively fast. My dryer has an "air" section. Will that just blow air through the dryer and be best for the rug?

By the way it didn't look like it was one with rubber on the bottom.

Also, I just turned the air dry setting on for a second to see what it would do and it still rotates but maybe it just blows cold air? Would this be best?

I have the non-rubber backed one because they wash and dry easier. I dry ours on the low heat setting in the dryer. I tried air drying it when we lived in California, even with the low humidity there it didn't get dry quick enough and got smelly and had to be re-washed.

I just washed my rubber backed rugs today.. I will normally just hang them to dry.. Until I absolutely need them in the bathroom then I'll run them briefly through the dryer. I've had my rugs for 4 yrs. plus and have not had any problem with the rubber backing.. You should also get some back up rugs so you have an extra set for wash days.. good luck

I've always dried mine in the dryer on low heat or hung them outside. The ones with the rubber backing tend to shed rubber if dried too long. I prefer to hang mine outside, but sometimes I need it dried in a hurry. It probably won't hurt the rug or the dryer. Just make sure you keep an eye on it and don't let it get too hot.

Your best bet is to let them drip dry in the bath tub, or put them outside in the sun

Hang outside when in doubt!
