I usually look on Newegg.com and browse through the monitors. They allow you to browse by screen size and resolution, so you can see what the most common resolutions are.

For non-widescreen LCDs, the most common native resolutions are:

17" - 1280x1024 (not 4:3)
19" - 1280x1024 (not 4:3)
20" - 1600x1200

For widescreen LCDs:
17" - 1440x900
19" - 1440x900
21.6" - 1680x1050

Hi. An LCD has a 'native' resolution, or number of pixels across and down. This is the highest resolution it will support. There is no range.

dear friend resolution depend on monitor and vga adapter.
