I was 8 yrs old and running fast while laughing and looking behind at the girl who was chasing me. She yelled, "Look OUT!!!" and I turned in time to watch the sharp and pointy tree branch cut me where my bottom, inner eyelashes grow. Yep. It was a little bloody and painful at the time, but my eyelashes have grown back. But, I DO have a small scar there to remind me to watch where I'm going. How'd you get yours?

Well, I got this one because a 9 pound 8 ounce boy was not ready to come out and greet the world yet. I got this one when I almost cut my thumb off at work and I got this one on my head when my little brother dropped the furnace register cover on me while I was fishing out his Boss Hog Hot Wheel car from the Dukes of Hazard.

I was 5 years old and pretending to be a gymnast by flipping myself around a pole that was about 6 feet off the ground and I fell and landed with my chin on the gound. My teeth were pushed up into my gums and also they cut a large hole right through my bottom lip. The doctors stitched up the inside, pulled my two front teeth than stitched up the outside of the cut and now I have a scar on my chin about 1/2 inch under my mouth.

I still shudder thinking about the doctors putting me whatever it was to hold me still because I was thrashing around so much and then me getting out and running out to the emergency waiting room where my mom was because they wouldn't let my mom come in because she was 8 months pregnant with my little brother.

I have numerous others ones too, but some of them even I don't remember how I got them!
I guess that's what happens growing up on a farm with 4 siblings and little or no adult supervision!

I have one on my forehead near my hairline. We were riding our bikes down a hill and I guess I got going a little too fast. Next thing I know I'm on the ground crying after my head had connected with a fire hydrant. That was when I was 7 or 8. I got one when I was 2 also near my hairline again when I fell off a chair and my head hit something made out of iron. That one required 8 stitches. Then when I was 11 or 12, I had to have surgery to remove a swollen lymph node from my neck so I got a rather large scar there too. Oh and I got one on my belly when I was 22 because I had to have an emergency c-section when my daughter was born.

I have quite a few, from everything from paper cuts to car accidents, but my most impressive one is from trying to do something that requires better balance than I have!

When I was in college I once went bicycle riding with friends. They decided to try a spot of ditch jumping, and wouldn't let up until I said I'd do it, too. They all landed safely on the other side. I, on the other hand, hit a rock as I took off, slewed sideways and landed on top of the bike in the bottom of the ditch ... with an 8-inch gash up my thigh from the bike pedal.
The resulting scar is a constant reminder that I am NOT good at physical challenges!

So ... I'll race you on completing a crossword puzzle, but not on making bicycle jumps!

I was also 8 and riding on the back of a friend's bike even though I was told not to. She started to go fast down a hill so stupidly I jumped off nerfing my knee BAD. The scar is still there but faded as I am 60! Last time I rode on the back of someone's bike, too.

HA!
which one?
4 of the ones on my left knee are from the surgery I had to have after I blew my knee out in a skiing accident.
the other 2 on my left knee are a mystery to me, I have no idea where they came from.
the 3 on my right arm are from when I tangled with a briar bush.
(I won.) :O)
this lovely (ahem) one on my right hand is from getting caught on a barbed wire fence.
opened my hand up like a zipper .... it mostly healed up without a scar though, there's only about a 1/2" scar left.
I have several on my left hand, I have no idea what they're from either.
there's about a 4 inch one on my left forearm, I think that's from a different fence - not barbed wire that time, at least.
and numerous small ones all over my upper arms from my sister biting and pinching me when we were little.
(she can pinch HARD!)
:O)

I got one under my lip for fighting with a boy. He got mad and threw a rock at my face and it ripped my lip apart right in the crevice under my nose. The scar is not noticeable after plastic surgery but I was 10 so my upper lip didnt grow much. It doesn't look weird but it could be bigger.

ouch lol. I got the scar on my elbow from dozing off while riding my bike to work one day. I hit a wooden sign/board in front of me and flew off my bike. Bruised some ribs and it hurt like mad. Didn't know what to do so I played dead and eventually someone pulled over and helped me.

I have loads....my knee scars are from getting hit by a car six years ago, the other one on the side of my leg is a motocycle engine burn. The one on my finger is from an xacto(sp??) knife in science class, grade 9 and the other one is from my kids.
