Mom, I Love You
Round and round
I turn and spin
where to begin
and where to end?
Right and left and
right and wrong?
Up, down, in, out,
no strength, strong
Temper tantrums,
calming down
giggling laughter,
crying now
Creeping anger,
‘bout to blow
Holy sh*t
which way to go!?
All this nightly,
sleeping tightly
dreaming dreams
prob-matic, frightening!
Day seeps in,
{my distant friend}
singeing all
I am again
Soul’s forced to awaken
from demise
eyelids rise slowly
to a smiling surprise
A mug of hot java
comes in to view
along with a voice
“Mom, I love you”
