I lost a baby at 22 weeks and my doctor said that next time I get pregnant he is gonna put a cervical cerlage it basically gets my cervix and is sewn closed so the baby wont come out. I am peraoid anyone had any experiances like that. I am so afraid that I could go into premature labor again.

My mom had one to hold me in at 4 months she said I was trying to escape! LOL she's a riot... anyway I still came a month early, but totally healthy, my sister was 3 months early & weighed 1 pound perfect just tiny (she's 30 now) That was in 1976 so honestly with todays medical advances I wouldn't worry too much... as a mommy to be you probably will worry, but I hope our experience will help you a little... knowing sometimes things work out ok even if your baby comes early and that the cerlage will help :) Best of luck to you.

I have to have that done too. My husband and I lost a baby girl at 21 weeks last Aug. I know several women that have had it done and have had to be on bedrest at some point in their pregnancy, but they had perfectly healthy, full-term babies. My husband and I hope to start trying again the end of this year.
