A mummy´s boy implies femininity while a daddy´s girl simply means a close attachment to her father. Go for the girl.

Neither is great but mummy's boy will definitely have more issues right into adulthood. Society just isn't kind to 'softies' and to men who're still tied to their mother's apron strngs. He won't find a mate easily either. A male should respect the women in his life but not be manipulated by them till he cannot make his own decisions. He's got to grow up to be his own person and dad's the one who shows the way to do it.

Daddy's girl is usually an achiever and attention seeker - as long as dad doesn't over-indulge and knows how to rein her in, she'll grow up fine. Although she's dad's girl, her mum's her best friend too - that's the most ideal. If mum's hard on her and its perceived as rivalry, she'll be more trouble than dad can handle once she hits her teens.

Dad and Mum's positions must never be challenged or rivalled - that's one thing kids have to know. You got to keep united 'cos kids will play you off against each other to their advantage.

I think really being either one is terrible for an individual. There's a huge difference between being close to your parents, and being a "Momma's Boy" or "Daddy's Girl".
You become too sheltered and never have the proper guidance or lessons on how the world actually works. It then becomes that much harder for you to integrate with the working world and society in general, because no one is there to hold your hand and give you what you want when you want it, especially when you have to strike out on your own and be an independent being.

I've got an odd situation in my own family. I have two daughters and one is a daddy's girl while the other is a mommy's girl. I'm not too sure if it's such a bad thing or not. I've always seen it as the girl gravitating towards the parent whose personality meshes better with the hers.

Girls are sweet when they're young, while boys are dirty and loud.

But girls have lots of drama when they become preteens and teenagers, whereas boys tend to mellow out.
