I start it up and it starts with no problem. Then the engine revs like normal then the dial goes down and it has stalled like once or twice. What is this? How can I fix this?

Any suggestions??

btw my car is a 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 if that matters

you may need a tune up done on it,that would be a simple job on that one, because there's not that many things to do to tune that one up,but it probably needs new plugs in it,and possibly a new air and gas filter, its a few years old now so it will need a few things from time to time,no big stuff though ,also have them scan the computer, that will tell if there's any bad sensors on it also, this will also help in repairing it,good luck with it.

On any fuel injected engine which has 30,000 miles or more on the odometer the following may solve your problem. Go to any NAPA or Carquest store and pick up a 16 oz. plastic bottle of 3M Total Fuel System Cleaner. Dump the total contents into your gas tank before a planned long hard high speed drive. A long trip is best. This additive is a very aggressive solvent which cleans the internal parts of the throttle bodies, fuel injector nozzles, intake manifold the under side of the valves and most importantly dislodges carbon build-up inside of the combustion chambers. Try this first as a complete tune-up is going to be expensive.
While I do agree with Dodgeman any car with over 50,000 miles certainly needs plugs. The standard ones are probably platinum tipped. After those many miles they've had the course.
