...saw this one years ago, but haven't been able to find it, since; it was futuristic look at a world gone mad...and definitely an independently filmed production (early '90's, I think). Anyways, in the film, people who die, continue to live; they don't seem to be zombies, per say, and they just pretty much wander around, sorta dazed and confused, wondering what has happened to them, trying to continue to live their lives, as their bodies slowly rot. I have this blurry image in my head, I'm sure it's from the film, about a fornicating angel, who initiated this monstrous, horrific, worldwide and apocalyptic situation...
...I realize that this DOES sound very weird and surreal, but I KNOW that this film is out there; has anyone else seen this one, and do you know the title???

...I'll bet that you're talking about the oh-so gruesome, dreamy and surreal entry in the (yes!) 'zombie' genre, from 1994, and entitled "Shatter Dead"; if you recall, amongst all this madness, a very cold and callous young woman, very well armed to the teeth, is traversing the towns and cities, in search of her boyfriend...only to find out that she, herself, is affected by the disasterous proceedings, a lot more that she refuses to realize...

It kindof sounds like the movie "Dance of the Dead", which was an independent movie from Masters of Horror.
