To the people that you work with?

At my current job of 10 years not close at all,mostly 2 faced back stabbers,but at my last job(13 years) we were all friends,going to dinners,family weddings,etc.and I'm still friends with most to this day.Also I bartend on Saturdays and that crew are great people.

Now that I am a stay at home mom again I am very close to the people I work with :o)

Out of about 80 people that work here I am close with 1 (you know the one you can tell you are calling in to even when not sick lol) of them and friends with about 5.

Not close at all. I opt out of sharing too much here.
I work with many snobbishly geeky intelligent loners who are hard up for attention.
They'll ask me a question, just as a lead in, then cut me off so they can talk about themselves etc. I don't have time for people like that.

I share a open cubicle with 4 guys all about 8 feet way and the secretaries are just 8 feet from me across a pathway not personally close to any of them

Well, Iv'e only known them since april of this year and am not really that close with any of them. But then it takes me a long time to get to know people.

I work with a lot of people. I am very close to one in particular, she is my first cousin and she is how I got my job. I owe her big time!!!
