This was a partial interview when Hillary was running for NY Senator:

Arkansas education: improvement against great odds
LAZIO: In Arkansas, when you had responsibility for education, the student performance when you left was at the bottom of the barrel. Spending was up. Taxes were up.
CLINTON: The work that was done in Arkansas received numerous awards and praise, because we really started something that I’m very proud of. And test scores went up in third grade and sixth grade. High school graduation went up. The work was done against great odds, in a very poor state.
LAZIO: I have a very different perspective on your record in Arkansas. And I would just urge the voters not to rely on what I’m saying, but to look it up.
CLINTON: I’m not here to defend Arkansas. I’m here to run for the Senate to represent New York.
LAZIO: I realize that you don’t want to talk about Arkansas because that experience was a disaster for Arkansas.
CLINTON: I’m happy to talk about it if that’s what you want to spend your time talking about.
LAZIO: That’s your record, Mrs. Clinton. You can’t run away from your record.

Bottom line, Taxes and spending UP and the schools ended up ranking 50th in the nation.

So, is the type of performance that we can anticipate with Hillary at the helm?

We are going to have to start giving you dittos for your questions suthrnlyts.

Now, I was actually in Arkansas as a college student when Slick Willie was governor and Hillary was his accomplise. She did really great things for Arkansas education. She headed a commission that lowered the standards for passing and the academic requirements for students to graduate. And yes they are even worse than Louisiana. I know that for a fact because I have a daughter in high school there at one of the supposed better high schools. She has a 3.0 with classes like personal management, typing, art, and pe. Those classes she has A's or B's, but in the only 2 classes, American history and math, she has D's. She does no homework and has yet to pass a test in the 2 difficult classes. Thanks Hillary.

And for those of you who say Hillary has learned since her tenure there. Well has she now.

Some 14 years ago she and her husband were in trouble for illegal campaign contributions from Chinese nationals. Isn't she in trouble with that today?

Some 14 years ago, she promoted socialized health care. Isn't she doing that now?

As for the smear tactics that some seem to think pointing out facts are, let me remind you about how Hillary was personally responsible for the smear tactics that got the travel department of the White House fired. Or the smear they, both Hillary and Bill, consistently do to anyone who disagrees with them.

And as Lazio clearly pointed out, you can base what a person may do in the future only on those things they have done in the past. If they continue to do the same things, then they will in the future do the same types of things. I have yet to see a leopard change its spots.

Dittos.

"LAZIO: That’s your record, Mrs. Clinton. You can’t run away from your record."
Our girl hill will take credit for any thing good from her "35 years" in politics, her defenders will remind critics that she never held office back then and shouldn't be held accountable for any of the s@#t she caused.

The left wing media will let her run from her record.
Thank God for the new media.

Regardless of whether it was an "interview" or questions from an opponent....she sidestepped the questions in her usual liberal manner...I sincerely believe she is incapable of answering a direct question....I not sure if she has a hearing dyslexia...or she is already preparing a nonsensical response, therefore does not bother to listen to the question...and that is giving her the benefit of the doubt...if those reasons are not valid....then she is just a liar.

And responses like those from aviator, "the past has nothing to do with the present"....is the reason I believe most democratic voters are just not aware of the real issues.

But to answer your question....I believe this is exactly what we can expect from Hilliary....it is what we got from Bill.

Nope, I missed that interview - Thank goodness!

Our entire educational system is W R O N G - we place sports programs before curriculum. Like we need more NFL players in this country! How about more Engineers or Scientists?

Oh yeah I forgot... ya can't bet on that!

I'm no Hillary fan, but heh, I thought Hillary answered it pretty well. Voters gave you your answer. And voters in New York saw through Lazio's lies and distortions - if you don't remember, Clinton wiped the floor with Lazio on that election night, even as Republicans were winning the House, the Senate and the White House.

This is factually incorrect. She was not head of education though she did chair the Arkansas Educational Standards Committee from 1982 to 1992. As the head of this committee she was able to do some very useful things but she was in no way the the head of education but only in an advisory role. In conclusion, you should maybe spend more time actually doing some of the research yourself rather than depending on very biased websites.

The entire article is a worthwhile read for people tired of the wasteful spending and poor performance of public education.

I think it was very brave of her to take on the task of improving education in such a state that, like several southern states, usually ranks near the bottom in main indices in educational attainment.

BTW, that wasn't an interview. She beat Lazio handily in the election.

Sorry, but just like I avoid a Bush interview, I avoid one involving Hillary. They both make me sick just to see them.
