wow though i really love Neil Diamond.. i have so many of his vinyls and cds.. it would have to be the first one of his i ever heard.
i was just six years old in 1972... my family was camping and we had a large caravan of campers we were part of, and me and a few of the other children were just lying on the side of a hill at Camp Atterbury... which is now an active army base, but wasnt then, and it was late at night. We were just lying there looking up at the most beautiful sky full of bright stars, and one young boy had his little am portable radio with him YES CD PLAYERS WERE SOOOOOO FAR OFF...LOL and Neil Diamonds song .. song sung blue was playing. it was a top hit for him that year. Today i can still see myself on the hillside, looking up at the stars and listening to such a peaceful song on such a beautiful night..
