Her name was Mrs. Ogg, a smart and pretty cave lady.
Her husband, Mr Ogg ran for cave dweller president in 42,123 BC. You had to carve your vote on a rock, actually twice. Then you broke the rock in two pieces, one to be counted for the election result, the other piece you kept as your vote receipt. This voting system remained in effect for millenium and there is not a single instance of a recount ever being be required.
Mr Ogg won with 77% of the rocks, er, I mean votes and went on to a sucessful rule. Cave paintings and other cultural activities flourished. Technology grew by leaps and bounds, first it was fire, followed shortly by the wheel. The people were happy and family life became all important.
And then, high in a tree watching, planning and scheming was an unfriendly neighbor of slightly different genetic make up. He was called Chmpy by his followers and he was thinking just a single word.......chads
