There as many reasons as to why somebody should put on weight. If you are not grossly overweight and fat, you shouldn't consider losing any weight. The only reasons why anybody should lose weight is for health reasons as too much fat can and will put a strain on your heart, your lungs have to work much harder and you are prone to many problems related to blood circulation. However, as winter is upon us, (again) a bit of excess fat doesn't do any harm in the cold wintery months but excessive fat can be just as damaging as in warmer months. Best advice is to see your doctor, get weighed / measured and seek his/her advice as to whether you need to lose weight, gain weight or stay as you are.

We would need to see a picture of you as you are now to know IF you should loose weight. If you are overweight, then your heart is having to work harder to pump your blood for openers. However, loosing weight if you are already at a normal body-mass is just as harmful.

people who are considered obese are at risk for high blood pressure, heart attack sleep apnea (body stops breathing/damages lungs) and diabetes and a load other medical conditions.
You are considered obese if your body fat % is more than 25% and/or body mass index over 30 you are considered obese. I.e. a woman who is 5'4" tall and weighs 175 is considered obese.
That would be my only motivating factor for losing weight.

u should only loose weight if u have to... loosing weight will help ur health and will give u a major confidence boost. u will feel better about yourself and around others....u will be more self-consious....but only if u have to

thats a personal decision. i personally believe (mind you i dont work out enough) but when you do fit a good work out in every day or every couple days you will start to feel good about yourself and maybe even more happy.
