I have a room addition without heat so I use a small electric heater. But I cannot use it any longer because it blows the circuit breaker everytime. Has anyone out there ever purchased a "EdenPURE" portable heater? Their full page ad appears in newspapers. The cost is at least $300, but I would be willing to pay that if it would NOT blow my circuits. Has anyone had any problems using this heater drawing too much power? And doing exactly what the old one does. Thank you...

First, is there anything else connected to the circuit
that wasn't there before?
If not, try replacing the breaker with a new one of the same rating.
They do occasionally wear out.
If it has, it may be that you are loading it too heavily.
What is the rating of your heater?
A 15A. breaker should support up to 1300W. in load.
A 20A. up to 1800W.

Hold your horses, you are presuming the HEATER is blowing the circuit. Possibly something else on the same circuit is helping to overload the circuit. Check and see if unpluging/turning off other things will solve the problem.
That said... I have bought 2 heaters at garage sales for $3.oo to $6.oo, unless you just like to waste money. It's called re-cycling. It's your choice!

that circuit is telling you there is a problem, and a qualified electrician is the only answer when dealing with tripping breakers, breaker too small or wiring installed or terminated in panel incorrectly.
