I just read this...."The highest possible screening sensitivity for an hCG-based pregnancy test conducted on the first day of a missed period is 90 percent, as 10 percent of women may not have implanted yet."

Question...
How is it that you havent implanted by your missed period??

Fertilization (when sperm meets egg) happens in your tubes, not your uterus. You are pregnant while the baby (or whatever you want to call it at this phase of development) is still moving down the tubes. It can take up to 16 days before the embryo will be implanted in the uterus, during which time you could have had a normal period.
