how soon can a blood test detect the HCG level for pregnancy?? i have to know before my period to be put on progesterone in order to carry the baby.. anyone know???

First ask your doctor they will know but usually they can detect the hormone around 10-11 dpo but not always. Has your doctor told you that you will need progesterone? If so they should have given you instructions as to what to do and when to do it. I would definitely touch base with your doctor to see what you are supposed to be doing. We really can't help you with something this serious and critical. If you don't find the answer it could lead to a very preventable miscarriage. Best wishes on getting your BFP!!!!!!!!!!!
