there is power already installed where the cooker needs to go, it just needs wiring up.

just because the wiring is there doesn't mean that you can just install the cooker. if you are changing a gas cooker for an electric one you will need to upgrade the cable as it is very unlikely that it will be the right size for the cooker as you will only have cable, in to power the ignitor. you also need to ensure that fuse circuit breaker is of the right size to take an electric cooker as the have power usage and need a big fuse 40 amp mimimum. as for the cost it depends on whether new cableing is needed. you also have to ensure that the person who installs the cooker is on the domestic installers scheme to ensure that it is tested upon completion

I would think between £40 and £80 depending on where you alive. Don't be afraid to get several quotes- you might do it for £30!

If its local I charge £20-00 plus vat
If its built in I worry.

if you know how to wire a plug do it yourself just thicker wire make sure you get the right wire both end tell you what goes where and it's cheaper
