The mob mentality is what is destroying this show. Each and every story line is a variation on the mob war. The writers need to return to the core families :Spencer, Quartermain, Hardy and Scorpio and bring back the fun and adventure that was the mark of GH in its heyday. The high adventure of Luke and Laura, Robert and Holly, Anna, Sean, Tiffany, Mac and the rest was what made the show.

There are plenty of younger characters to take up the reins. Lucky, Robin, Maxie, Lulu and Georgie (aided by Nick and Spinille) could have the same kind of high flying adventures their parent s had.

The are looking for a new chief of staff at General Hospital, would it not be great if instead of boring useless Dr Ford we had the return of Tom Hardy, taking his Father's Job and living up to his legacy?

Isn't it time for Jax and a returning Paul Hornsby to try to take over ELQ?

Enough of the mob stuff. Time to move on while looking back

It's coz England never play together....you see the kind of players they are producing say from 2005-now, we have Rooney, Bentley, Agbonlahor, etc. They are individually good, but they don't play together pretty often. In club matches, they know what their teammates are all about. But the bigger problem is that a lot of nonbritish players are there nowadays in the EPL top clubs. Arsenal has no Englis players apart form Wallcot. And maybe because the youth clubs are not working properly. Look at Manchester United, ehich had one of the best youth academies. How many homegrown players have they produced in the last 7-8 years. The young ones there feel that foreigners are being bought in their place and they, understandably, leave the club as they want to PLAY!!! Same thing happens with most of the british clubs. i mean, yound players from Manu, Chelsea leave these clubs to join Stoke city????Are you kidding me? And the one thing that is missing which is the most important thing is inspiration for the youngsters. i am 15 from Bangladesh and I know what i am talking about. A single World Cup tournament, a single peice of solo run by a player can inspire you to become a footballer. English kids don't have that. And for that I blame the footballers of 1990-2008.

This is what happens when producers force writers to fulfill demands of spoiled castmembers who want changes in their storyline for whatever reason. Hopefully some of these people will grow a spine and eliminate those who create problems for the good of the show as a whole. Maybe Nikolas will kill Jason at the ball, even though there's no logical reason for him to be there. Although, that wouldn't stop the writers from dreaming up some weak plot device to make it happen.

Yes, the show is suffering. They turned main characters into sniveling wusses, and strong good characters into mean bad people. I'm very frustrated with the show. I did watch GH Nightshift. That was interesting. Fast moving. I would rather watch that way than during daytime. As for picking up, I do not know. I do not like who is being paired with who. I used to love Elizabeth, but can not stand her now. Emily is self righteous, Sam and Jason were my fav. and they destroyed them. Carly is better with Jax. But, who knows if that will last. I could go on. But, I wont.

I think it's going to be picking up in November pretty fast for "sweep" with the Black and White masquerade ball, just type General Hospital Spoilers into your search engine and there is a couple really good sites.

I agree with you. Although when GH had tragedy after tragedy after tragedy ... is when I noticed that the writing had definitely taken a very boring twist. At this point I do not care what happens to any of them. Especially this with Robin and Patrick... maybe they need another tragedy to get 'rid' of some dead weight. Also Carly hounding Jax about his sleeping with his kidnapper .. he had a gun to his head ... she slept with Sonny cause she wanted to. Her double standards are not making me like her situation either.

I have seen spoilers that either Sam or Emily is going to die. My money is on Sam. I agree though, I could go two weeks without watching and realize the next time I watch that I missed nothing. They really need to bring Brenda back since Carly is married to Jax. That would make for a great storyline.

It's been getting steadily worse ever since Guza came back, and it'll continue to decline until ABC finally completely overhauls its Daytime division.
