This summer i visited Istanbul Archelogical Museum. Adn there were some parts of it which i have not seen including the Egypt part. There were mummies in open coffins. It is just amazing.

Yes, as an archaeologist I am. The knowledge of Ancient Egyptians on how to preserve a dead body is amazing, you can even sort out what kind of deseases the person embalmed suffered of when he/she were alive.
