I am a 14 year old girl, starting my GCSE's. I'm taking Art, History, Textiles and French, and am also learning Spanish at home. I'm looking for fun, productive and usefull work experience. Has anyone got any suggestions? (Keep it clean please)

I'm not being funny, but maybe try something which is nothing at all to do with your chosen vocation. I desperately wanted to be a journalist so I did my work experience at the local newspaper office where they made me make tea, right up the "crime column" and put captions under wedding photos. I was bored rigid and it put me right off. Ask some young people from the year above you to get a feel for which places have experience of taking in students. Some big companies have work exeperience policies, which means they take it seriously - others don't have a clue.

Try Ceramic Tiling, ask at local tile shops or phone a few tilers. If you like the work you could make a fortune as tilers are well paid if they are good. Whatever you decide to try, the main thing is enjoy the work and you will stick to it. Good luck !!!
Oh nearly forgot, there is a great satisfaction in looking at a good finished job.

Where about do you live? Have you tried your LEA? My LEA has a service called the Early Years Specialist Services Team, or it may be called a Visiting Teacher Service in other areas. they go into setting and support practitioners with children with SEN.
