This is a correct sentence,however,your spelling could use a touch up.

Why not say:-

A burned out light bulb makes a rattling sound when shaken. This is because the filament has broken, thus causing the bulb to fail. The rattling is caused by small pieces of the broken filament hitting the glass when the bulb is shook.
