Over sensitivity makes others uncomfortable, too. Go relax, take a bath, and be sure to get lots of sleep tonight, babe.

Well, at first (until I read your extra details) I was going to say that some people are prolly really particular & specific so that they might be picked for a Best Answer!
But with the whole belittling thing.... I don't get that either... I just go back to the whole, 'If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all'....
Unless they're asking you to be brutally honest....

I got a violation for nicely putting someone down once. I didn't mean to belittle. I am more careful now. I do like to try and give good answers, though.

Maybe it's because they are tired of seeing annoying questions continually pop up, like another "Is Miley Cyrus pregnant" question, or another question about Vanessa Hudgens' nude photo scandal, and asking if she's still a role model (Sweet Jesus, let it go already!) Recently, there have been a lot of BUK questions to have been coming up as of last night, and a lot of answerers are ready to belittle the askers.

I'm particular about my answers because I want to sound halfway intellegent, but this does not always get Best Answer.

I don't think I have ever belittled anyone that was not begging for it. I am actually pretty nice.
I try to be particular about some answers because I don;t want to sound like a babbling idiot.

Not to belittle anyone myself but I do think in might be a psychological disorder, a psychosis if you will. They do have medication and support groups specifically for that now.
I know from first hand experience, i am an ex-belittler myself.

I don't think all of us that answer questions with detail and accuracy are trying to belittle the asker. Personally, I want my answers to be witty, well thought out and presented with proper grammar and spelling. It is out of respect for my education and language.

Some people try their best to knock someone down. Don't let it bother you too much. Just let it go if you can and just hope that people have a little more respect next time.

Well, on a forum like this, there are all kinds and sorts of people. Just ignore those type of people and remember that there are far more GOOD answerers.
