My family used to sing that on the way to my grandmothers house in the winter time. Those were wonderful times. Now my family still carries on the tradition. Democrats are not what they are painted to be in this forum Earnest. Lots of people on both sides of the aisle have become jaded and disillusioned with life.

No joke. Now the children are only allowed to exchange cards on valentine's day. Maybe I'm getting old, but it's getting harder to find valentine's day cards (for children) that aren't suggestive.

I send Christmas cards to my clients in jail (such a simple gesture) and I get heart-felt letters in reply.

This is not a public school function. How does it matter in the bigger scheme of life? If they want to exchange cards they can have Christmas parties outside of the public school. Public schools are for education. Churches, Mosques and Temple are for religion. Some seem to get confused about this.

I don't know why you put Christian in quotation marks when the vast majority of democrats are, in fact, christian. Maybe it's because they are not christian enough for you? Who are you again, exactly, and how are you qualified to judge who and who isn't a real christian?

If you want to ask about specific instances where Christmas activities have been banned in schools then do just that, ask about specific instances. While you're at it why don't you also ask about Halloween activities that have been banned due to pressure from fundamentalist Christians.
