Have you ever thought about what YOU would do? Who would you choose to spend it with and why? Are there unanswered questions you would want to ask this person? What are they? Or, is there an unresolved issue with this lost loved one that has been holding you hostage emotionally? What is it? If you got a chance to do something like this, how would YOU behave differently toward them? What would you want them to know? Would you apologize for something? Would you forgive them? What would you need to happen so you can find closure to finally move on?

I wish I had a day to spend with a loved person I haven't lost but lives far away from me

And yes, I'd like to have a day with my grandparents, even with one of my grandfathers, the one I never got to know. It would be nice to meet him. And it would be nice to be with any of the person I still love and I have somehow lost at any point of my life, I'd just enjoy their company and talk with them as if the time hadn't past and I would have seen them yesterday.

Since I lost someone very special a bit over a year ago, I have asked myself that exact question many times. And the answer(s) include all of the things you mentioned and a lot more.
