(October 23) Last night, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) filed to invoke cloture on S. 2205, Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin’s (D-Ill.) new stand-alone DREAM Act amnesty bill. The cloture vote, for which 60 YES votes are necessary to prevent a filibuster on the measure, is set for Wednesday, October 24.

When Durbin first attached the 'Dream Act' to a DoD spending bill, I was sickened by that ploy for it was tantamount to the Dems saying: "Either vote for this amnesty or let the troops suffer."
And now, in consistency with a criminal for whom skulking in the darkness is primary nature, Reid is set to once again go about the Democrats' business in the only way they know how--underhanded secrecy.

Yes. I heard about this. Time for anti ILLEGAL immigration activists to "flood the zone" by letting senators know how they feel about the "Dream" bill in very pointed fashion.

I was going to answer "yes" because I thought you were talking about retroactive immunity for telecom companies that broke the law.
Who cares? As long as corporations need cheap labor to kill off unions, all the bills and posturing in the world won't make a difference, unless we reform our campaign finance system.

You are trying to make this a Democratic issue, when in reality it is made possible by both parties and a President who supports the bill. Why don't you just admit that your president will not veto this bill and Republican congressmen will vote for it.
