We just bought my daughter a new mattress and we haven't gotten a cover for it yet. I tried to blot it with a towel and scrub it with resolve but there is still a yellow circle. Can you also tell me what I can do if I catch it immediately in the middle of the night?

Oh the best solution is water and Alcohol in a spray bottle,

get a few towels and sponges,

and spray it then dab it, then spray it and dab it, and spray it and wipe it and dab it, and then spray it wipe it and dab it

then get out to the dollar store and pick up a couple of plastic table cloths and lay it under the sheet, this way her bed is protected,

NEVER use Febreeze or soap because it traps the urine inside the mattress, witht he alcohol , it evaporates and takes the urine with it,, Plus the stink is gone.

Good luck

Ok, if you have a wet/dry shopvac now is a great time to use it ! You want to get some baking soda/water in a squirt bottle and spray the spot.. Baking soda neutralizes odor on contact ! Blot do not rub with a light colored towel, if you do not have a shop vac. If you have one suck out the water of the mattress and rinse with cool water.. Suck out any excess water... Also, get a good waterproof mattress cover I would recommend acouple in case you have to change the bedding in the middle of the night you have a spare cover. I have a Sealy posturpedic waterproof cover on our bed.. It's plush thick and it's really saved our mattress ! It was only $30 in Queen size ! Good luck

Don't use UrineBGone on something your child sleeps on and can inhale (did you read the label ProudPreemieParent?!) I use Simple Green. It's safe for children & pets, it's "green" in more ways than one. Home Depot has large gallons as well as premixed spray bottles. I think Target & Wal-Mart have the spray bottles as well. Spray the stain liberally and then put a white cloth over it for several hours. Try leaving it as long as you can, like overnight. Check it the next day. Repeat as needed. I haven't found a stain it won't get out!

Get a steam cleaner and use the upholstery attachment to clean the area. You need to get a plastic cover for the mattress until your daughter no longer wets the bed - That way, if she does at night, all you need to do is put the sheets in the laundry and get some clean sheets out for her.

Time Required: 1 hour

Here's How:
Dampen the soiled areas with water.
Sprinkle borax over the areas.
Rub the borax over the areas, working into mattress well.
Let dry.

scrub it as much as you, use febreze also on the mattress..
i would recommend other wise, to turn the bed over onto the other side, and get a cover asap

not sure if you will be able to get the "stain" out, but in the future you could try a pet urine stain cleaner.. at least that would get the smell out

Try "Urine Gone" or a mixture of baking soda and vinegar....lt it bubble and then take a toothbrush and brush it into the stain and then rinse.
