Yes, he wasn't giving his full effort, & the Raiders' quarterbacks that he played with weren't very good.

This would not be a good move for the Lions. It would just be another mistake for Matt Millen. Randy Moss is over the hill. From 2003 to 2006 his receptions have declined from 111 to 42, his yards went from 1600+ to 553, and TDs dropped from 17 to 3. In my opinion Randy Moss no longer has any trade value and the Lions would be better off to just use their number 2 pick on a good QB. As for who the raiders would pick I say Jamarcus Russell and Ted Ginn.

I think that is true but you have to look at it from another point of view also, Have the Raiders given it 100% over the last couple of years? I know these guys are being payed to play but there is a difference when you play for a team that is willing to do what it takes(and I am not talking about the spying) and a team that just bitches and complains about everything. Not a fan of either team by the way.

He certainly was. The numbers back this up, but to really get a feel for it (since he has much more talent in New England), you have to look at two things.
First, look at the up and down nature of his stats while in Minnesota. When happy there, he made Culpepper look like Manning. Culpepper was an all-pro, franchise QB. Then, things went sour, and Mosses numbers disappeared.
Not only that, look what happened to Daunte. He has been a scrub ever since, which tells you that Moss is so good when he wants to be that he can make Culpepper a star.
Secondly, you have to look at how he dominates. He doesn't put up numbers because QBs put lasers on precise timing patterns. He is simply impossible to cover, no matter who the QB.
If you look at his TDs, you will notice how many are just jump balls thrown up in the air where Moss just outjumps everyone to the ball. He looks like Shaq rebounding against high-schoolers. He also just flat-out runs by people. Single team, double team -- doesn't matter. Nobody has made it this easy -- not even Jerry Rice, who had to really work.
So, when you see how easy it is for him to dominate, it stands to reason that when he doesn't, it is because he isn't trying. Brady is an all-time great QB, for sure, but it isn't that hard to look like a star throwing to a motivated Moss.
Culpepper, Brad Johnson -- doesn't matter who. If you have the arm strength to get it to him he will make you look like a hero (if he feels like it).

yes he was dogging it the raiders need to sue him for the money he stole from us hes the biggest piece of excrement, its funny some of these comments about the raiders being terrible so thats why he dident try but the fact of the matter is that the raiders thought of randy as a game changer he was supposed to lead a team to victory not cost them wins he was supposed to show how great he was not sit on the bench and cry like a sissy, what a little ***** he is, he fits right in with the patsies

Absolutely. The teams he played on were terrible, but that should've given him room to step up and be a leader. He should've been the guy to put the team on his back and carry them to a couple wins. Instead, he helped to drag down that sinking ship.

Its hard to say if he gave 100%, since the Raider's weren't all that great back then.

Yes...Moss has a ton of talent but he's a baby. If he's not winning he wants to quit.

Of course. He played for a terrible team and had a terrible QB (Andrew Walter) throwing to him. Now he got what he wanted.
