number of pencils needed: 148.8 *10^6

Avagadro's number: 6.023 * 10^23

number of moles of pencils: 2.47 *10^-16 moles

Number of pencils = distance from sun to earth / length of pencil.

Number of moles = number of pencils / Avogadro's number

Assuming you really did mean moles - Avogadro's number is very large!

Pencils don't come in moles. They come in grosses.
