If I remove the recovery partition I know it will increase memory, but will it increase ram?

Removing the recovery partition will only give you more space on the Hard Drive. That one mechanical part in your computer that holds all your information. it will NOT speed up your computer, and it has nothing to do with ram. I wouldn't advise killing the recovery partition unless you have your restore discs. never know what might happen.

Read your laptop User Manual, your Recovery Disk Utility may be in the Recovery partition. The Manual will also tell you how to add RAM.

If you think your hard drive is too full, back up your personal data to CD or DVD and delete all unnecessary programs, folders and files.

It will only increase Hard disk space. Memory (ram) will be unaffected.
