Not in a from that could be translated into what a person was actually thinking. However, it can messure changes in brain activity that may indicate for example that someone was having a dream or any other irregular event such as perhaps hallucinations.

Doctors used EEG to messure my brain activity in relation to different stimuli (light, sound, temperature etc) and were able to diagnose Epilepsy and prescribe the exact medication required to prevent further siezures.

No. It shows abnormalities in the brain waves. For instance, when they do the EEG, you normally lie still and rest. Then they have you do certain things to see how this changes your brain waves. Its pretty cool.
