That is
Seurat, Georges
A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte
1884-86
Oil on canvas
207.5 x 308 cm
Art Institute of Chicago

It was painted in seven years with a style called pointillism. Small dots of paint. If you look close enough you can see the dots that make up the larger pieces. Just like life.

Im convinced there is some meaning... but i just havent been able to figure it out yet.
Maybe the facelessness, maybe the child (loss of those childhood years, or freedom), or maybe the freedom you feel on a nice spring day? Like i said, i still donno, but Im trying to figure it out still.
Ill let you know if I do.

Thats up for interpretation. I think it could be that they are both in a sense children existing surrounded by strangers where hardly anyone feels any compassion for them, but who knows?
