Patriots, Red Sox or Celtics?

The Red Sox are almost a genetic component of what it is to be a New Englander. The Patriots are a close 2nd though.

As a Boston fan of all sports I saw Red Sox unfortunatly. The Pats may have one of the greatest teams of all time right now. The Red Sox while they did win the ALCS after being down 3-1 had guys saying that they didnt care if they won or lost and that it wasnt a big deal. The Pats right now never would have said that. Tom Brady would rather loose a limb then say that didnt matter if they won or lost. And yet for some reason Boston fans are in love with the Red Sox. Dont get me wrong I am a Red Sox fan but I would trade a Red Sox world series for a Pats superbowl any day. I bleed patriot blue baby.

The Red Sox, hands down. They are the older franchise in that city, and they carry the name "Boston." I think of the New England Patriots as a team that represents all of the cities in the New England area, not just Boston.
Boston College has not had the success that the Red Sox and Patriots have had to garner the same type of popularity as the professional teams possess.

Red Sox, 10 years ago Boston didn't know they had a football team. In about 10 years they won't know it again when they aren't winning Championships. Heck the Patriots are actually probably behind the Celtics, not far behind but I really think I'd rank the Celtics second because they have a history.

its not even close.
The Pats would be a distant second followed by the Bruins and then the CELTICS. Basketball is not popular in educated cities anymore.
There probably was time when the Celtics were kings, but Basket Ball just isnt doing that well anymore.
