Hi,
I have noticed that some sellers have really large photos and I think it looks great! I'd love to do that with mine but can't see how to.

I have signed up to Auctiva which means I can get large photos if the buyer clicks on the image but just wondered how i do it so they are already large.

I hope this makes sense!

If anyone can help i'd really appreciate it!

Thank you

There is an option to "enlarge" your photo-it is one of the choices for your photo. It cost a little more but it is worth it!

It would have helped if you told us what you want to sell.

Regardless, you don't want the pix to be too large, because it's a big turn-off to many buyers, who want to see the entire product in one, fair-sized image (e.g., nobody needs to see a pencil stretch across three screens!). Besides, enlarging existing pix may make them appear "fuzzy" or out-of-focus, which is also a big turn-off.

Details are far more important than photos. Just take a decent pic (from more than one angle, if necessary; most of the time, it isn't!), and use whatever photo-editing software you have to crop and/or reduce it to about 200 x 200 pixels in dimension (300 x 300 is better; 600 x 600 is a reasonable limit), then write no more than 5 sentences describing the product.

The best ads are simple, short, and sweet, taking up no more than two scrolled screens worth of display, not counting the ebay stuff that's automatically added.

Good luck!

before anything else you are doing..... you have to have the camera set to take large size pictures.

somewhere in your menu on your camera will be an area to alter the size. if not size, then pixel rate. the higher the pixel rate, most cameras will produce a larger picture.
