My current position is of low pay, yet yields very rewarding moments. It seems the office is divided, from issues past, and I am stuck in the middle. I am trying to stay off radar and just do my job the best I can and not get pulled down with pety squabbling. Confused and stressed.

From past experiences, I think you should stay under the radar. Stay out of the squabbles. When things rise from the past, it's hard for you (not being privy to the other info that happened in the past) to know where you stand. And more importantly, you have no way of knowing exactly where all of those people that were there then stood- So... don't get political... fly under the radar

If you get out it will seem as if you are running and also as if you are the problem. I would definitely stay and fight it silently.
Come in do what you have to do keep conversation with others very simple and that's it.

Just tell them, you won't be in the middle of their petty squabbling.
Wouldn't it be nice if people just kept their emotions to themselves and just do their job!

Always know your worth on the open market. That way if you decide to leave it will be an easier transition.
