I support you Diane. Yahoo has gone over the top allowing reporting and yanking ID's for benign comments and questions that "piiss" one or two people off. This is a public forum and all types of commentary, writing styles and humor should be allowed and even encouraged !!

One time I gave an answer of "haha". That was it. And I got reported for it. Stupid violations used to make me mad, but not anymore. It just proves that with all the well meaning people who use this site, you'll never get rid of the morons.

I got reported this week after someone posted a dumb question and I answered in the same vein as the question. Don't know who did it, but my answer had less gramatical mistakes.

I have gotten violations for the craziest of reasons. Like anything else meant to be a good thing, it gets abused. In this case, reporting people for violations of policy.

Considering how Red Sox fans and Yankees fans go at it all year I doubt that a fan of either actually reported you.
I can almost guarantee you it was someone that is not a fan of either team. Some uptight ultra conservative.

I hear ya, I get reported regularly and it's always from some lame moron that can dish it out but not take it when you give a rebuttal. I just write back to yahoo and they nix it.

More power to you! Amigo or Amiga! There is nothing more revolting to a person of intellect with a desire for truth and free inquiry than the self-appointed fascist morals police who scan the www looking for offensive posts, naughty language, irreligious comments, sexual innuendos or anything else that may be offensive (and EVERYTHING is offensive to SOMEBODY) and these self-proclaimed paragons of truth and morality then report these posts to the Web Fascists, the Hitlerian powers-that-be, nameless entities who accept no appeal, hear no argument, who revel in their power to delete posts, block internet access based on nothing more than whim and caprice.
So exercize your right to blast those idiotic web censors and morals police, those nameless humanoids devoid of intellect, but pregnant with abusive power and a disdain for freedom of speech, which is anathema to them. Tell them what they are, for they are the very lowest scum of all, these moral police, these Censors and Protectors of community values.
Sorry, Censors and Morals Police, not every American wants his or her country to resemble Iran!
Lower scum than murderers, rapists and thieves, lower scum even than adults who prey on children are these Moral Fascists. Rapists of the mind and enemies of freedom. And what defense is there against them? Apparently none at all.
