It used to be that people in the US went to Canada to buy prescription meds. Now with the high Loonie and with Walmart offering $4 for generics. Will Canadians come to the US for their drugs. They already come for their MRI's, CT scans, hip replacements and advanced cancer treatments.

The price of generic prozac from a Canadian pharma is $.14 a pill.

It's the upside to a falling dollar. Don't mention this to Liberals. They'll find something negative to whine about. They will never acknowledge any improvement, and will simply point out that it's not enough.

Golden: Where do you live? I live in Buffalo, and the Canadians are flocking to the US because of the deals they get with our weak dollar. It's great for our economy.

and the cost in gas for crossing the border (it takes forever these days) eats up that tiny savings. i live on the border. the local malls and outlet malls, etc used to be crammed full of canadian plated cars. not that way anymore.

You bet. The $0.01 per pill difference is going to send them here in droves. Heck, they could save $0.90 for a 90 day supply.
