"President Bush has a plan to make basic, private health insurance available and affordable for more Americans. Americans are fortunate to have the most advanced and innovative health care system in the world. The President's plan will make private health insurance more affordable and increase the number of Americans with health insurance. The plan will also help our Nation move away from reliance on government-run health care and toward a system in which Americans have better access to basic, affordable private insurance, and increased ownership of their medical decisions." http://www.gop.com/Issues/
I think this would be a great idea, since he vetoed SCHIP and any chance for coverage for the American citizen to receive "free" health care.
It's been 7 years and I never heard of this plan but I know Bush keeps his promises so I should be able to get coverage very soon.
Does anybody know when Bush's solution is to the health care problem will be enacted?

Bush keeps his promises???? please, name one. Just one. Last time I checked, war in Iraq was supposed to take 2 weeks, there was an exit strategy and Saddam had WMDs. Tha guy is a puppet, controlled by likes of Dick Cheney, and, until recently, Donald Rumsfield. Those guys feed you false promises and you gobble it all up like a bunch of turkeys. Same thing with healthcare -you'll never see any of it
LOL, I didn't notice at first

If it’s anything like Bush’s Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, it will be a way to transfer taxpayer dollars into the coffers of the health insurance industry.
If you want affordable health care, go work for the government so that you can get health care like Bush has, as well as the White House staff, members of Congress and their staffs and millions of government employees.

Nope, but don't expect it any time soon from the democrats either. Neither Bush or the democrats is looking at the reasons behind the high COST of health care. All they're doing is looking at how to pay for it. If you don't understand or consider the cost, no one can make it affordable.
Don't believe it? Try buying a BMW for $1,000.

Already in place it is called SCHIPs, been in place for sometime and still one third of parents who are eligible for it or Medicare have not enrolled. Before we add a higher level of income to an existing program we need to insure that the current (poorest of the poor) children are covered. Are you interested in children or interested in bashing bush? I am for the children of this country and strongly believe that the House should play the most important part (both parities). They have districts, if they could go door to door to get votes and drive the poorest to the voting booths then by god they can do the same for the children in health care. They and their staff have plenty of time away from Washington to do just that, four weeks off for labor day would have been a perfect time.

The truth is we have the most advanced health care system in the world (although not enough preventative care and too many inactive Americans), and the costs of all the advancements are staggering.
Everything in life has a flip side. Government health care will mean less technological breakthroughs, and will eventually lead to higher costs. Look at how much we spend on education with diminishing returns.

I think we've seen it. Sign up, go to Iraq, get shot and then wait 6 months for a doctor's appointment.
No thanks. I'll take Hillary's plan.
