Every day, I hear about how we are removing God from our society at the fault of the left. My question is, with the Bible teaching us about morals, do you believe that the right is following the values of the Bible? The reason I am not asking about the left is because we all know what you think about the left and religion.

"Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor Will also cry himself and not be heard. ... will themselves be refused when they need help" Luke 16:19-31

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek; and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. [Matthew 7:7-8].”

"And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you." - (Ephesians 4:32)

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)

“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble [James 4:6]”

“Judge not, that ye be not judged (Matthew 7:1).”

I am asking about the right in general, and not just your beliefs. Please be as respectful and honest as possible. Thank you!

CFB ... I hope you aren't referring to me. You know nothing of my beliefs, and because of that, are not in a position to judge me. Now, will you please answer the question: Do you believe the right (in general) follows the teachings of the Bible?

Bob ... just because I am a Democrat does not mean that I can't have religion. You are very wrong for assuming that.

Bob...I haven't said anything about taxation. I am asking if you think that the morals that are put forth from the right are being followed by the right. I'm not really sure what taxes have to do with it.

On the cry of the poor: Christians give more money to the poor then all other religions combined. We will give freely, we just don't want the government to decide who it is we give to.

On the ask and be given: We believe this means work hard and you will be rewarded. Not sit on the conrer and beg for things.

On be kind to one another: We believe in this. It is the lefties who attack other people's beliefs. Socilism cannot succed without oppresion of religion.

I could keep going but I think you should see it now. Basicaly we don't want the government to define who it is we should give to. We want to reserve that right to ourselves.

How can the left say they know God and quote God's Word, yet support abortion? God says, "do not shed innocent blood."

Jeremiah 19:4
"Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;"

Has America filled our land with the blood of innocents?

My whole family as far back as I can remember have been democrats, but because of abortion I am a republican. I was taught democrats are for the poor and republicans are for the rich, but I see no difference except abortion. I will not ever support abortion and I will always take care of the poor with whatever I have. I was also taught by these democratic parents that it is God who provides protection and provision and not the government. My parents and grandparents were God-fearing people and they believed in their Christian nation that so many say has never been Christian. My father died in the 50's and if he saw my world today with the ungodly trying to remove everything about God from this country, he would be appalled. My father's word was his bond. I don't think he knew how to lie or if he did, he loved God too much to do something that God hated so badly. My father would not know the democratic party today.

Funny how a liberal uses the bible when they try to prove a point.

Yes the conservatives help the poor, did you ever see the ABC news show where they put a pot in a conservative city like Des Moines IA and one in a liberal city like San Francisco. People in Des Moines IA, a fairly small town gave twice as much to charity as the people in Downtown San Francisco.

Churches and other private organizations do a much better job at helping people than the government ever will. So why not allow them to address these issues?

Conservatives believe in teaching people how to fish so that they can feed themselves. Liberals believe in just giving things to people with no requirements, so they become dependent on the liberal party. Conservatives don't mind helping people, but giving free health insurance to someone who makes $42,000 to $82,000 a year. Come on.

EDIT:

I Didn't say that you did not have religion. I don't like the fact that you think that forcing people to give through taxation is the same as a charatible donation through a church. People make their own choices and taxation takes that choice away. But its OK when it is done "to help the down trodden in society".

You want the truth you couldn't stand the truth.
No I mean really.
We try to attain these teachings and the same book tells us that all fall short but for the grace of JESUS.
Most of us are trying to do the next right thing whats your excuse?

There is a difference between giving one's own money to charity and forcing others (through taxation) to give. I don't count it as being generous when it's OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY.

Studies have shown that conservatives as a group give far more than liberals to charitable causes.

I'm an atheist and a social liberal, and a fiscal conservative, and think one could avoid a nanny state and promote charity and fulfill christian principles.

It is a well established fact that conservatives give far more in time and money to charity.

I forgive as Jesus taught but, do not mistake forgiveness for stupidity (e.g. I will forgive the sick-o breaking into my home to tie me up and rape my wife, I will say a prayer for him as I squeeze the trigger on my .45)
